Chicago Murphy's Breakfast with Santa 2025
One of John Carroll University's most cherished traditions is the Chicago Alumni Chapter's Breakfast with Santa. This special gathering of JCU alumni and their families features Mass, a brunch buffet, and a visit with Santa. Children are encouraged to bring their lists so they can share their wishes with Jolly Old Saint Nick.
Murphy's Breakfast with Santa was started in 1997 by the late Richard L. Murphy '57. Dick was a previous recipient of the Alumni Medal, the highest award given by the JCU Alumni Association, and was a committed member of the John Carroll alumni community in Chicago for decades. This annual event is one of our most cherished traditions and is a can't miss annual event run by the Chicago Alumni Chapter.
10 AM - Mass
10:45 AM - Brunch Buffet
11:15 AM (approx.) - Visit from Santa Claus
$40 per adult (age 14+)
$25 per child (age 2-13)
Free for children age 2 and younger
Additionally, please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy (for children between infant and 12 years of age) as part of the chapter's effort to help make area children's holidays special.

NYC Mass & Brunch 2025
The New York City Alumni Chapter and the John Carroll University Alumni Association invite you and your family to one of JCU's most cherished holiday traditions the annual Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, followed by brunch.
Mass celebrated by: Rev. Robert L. Niehoff, SJ, former JCU President
10 a.m. - Mass in the Lady Chapel, St. Patrick's Cathedral
11:30 a.m. - Brunch at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse (1221 Ave of the Americas, New York, NY 10020)
$50 per adult (age 14+)
$35 per JCU Graduate of the Last Decade (2015-2025)
$30 per child (age 13 and younger, free for age 2 and younger)
Includes full brunch buffet, featuring a steak carving station, scrambled eggs, cheddar and ham frittata, classic and blueberry pancakes, ham, bacon/turkey bacon, sausage/turkey sausage, home fries, bagels with smoked salmon, assorted breakfast pastries, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, and assorted beverages.

Naples Alumni & Friends Reception 2026
Alan R. Miciak, Ph.D., President of John Carroll University, invites you to join him for a special JCU Alumni & Friends Reception, along with special guest speaker Carolyn Noll Sorg, Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing and John Carroll University's 27th President, whose presidential appointment will begin on June 1, 2026.
The reception will begin at 5 PM, with the program beginning at 5:45 PM.
Free to attend. Open to all members of the John Carroll Community. Heavy appetizers and hosted bar included.
